The Prima PDF Sewing Pattern by will help you create Ballet, Skating, & Gymnastic wear for American Girl Isabelle & other 18" Dolls. This pattern will help you make a 5-Piece Set: Leotard, Wrap Top, Wrap Skirt, Tutu, and Hair Accessories (headband, ponytail holder).

These designs are styled like real girls’ dance-wear! They are well-fitting, pretty dance & performance pieces for AG dolls. Prima has so much mix and match potential! Fun and lively, this design allows for many personal touches. It uses small amounts of fabric or remnants and has lots of variation built in!

This pattern is fun & spirited! Try different methods of applying elastics and trims to really get the most out of the set. The leotard will also function perfectly as a swimsuit! The pattern includes 32 pages of instruction, photos, & information, including hints for beginning sewists. Instructions can be printed in booklet style to reduce printing, or read along on your laptop or tablet. Print only the sections you need!

Recommended Fabrics: Swimwear fabric, 4-way stretch knits, 2-way stretch knits, woven for wrap skirt

Supplies Needed:
Leotard Bodysuit:
-Remnant or 1/3 yard Swimwear fabric. 4-way stretch is best, moderate stretch knit is ok
-¾ yard 5/8” Foldover Elastic, ½ yard 3/8” Lingerie Elastic
-Optional: Lining Fabric – remnant swimsuit lining fabric or stretch lace

Wrap Skirt:
-Remnant or ¼ yard woven, mesh, or knit fabric. (Needs 2 layers)
-14-inches of 5/8” Foldover or 3/8” Lingerie Elastic

Wrap Sweater:
-¼ yard Soft knit, swim or basic knit
-1 yard Foldover elastic, ½ yard 3/8” or ¼” ribbon or cord

Tutu/Performance Skirt:
-1/3 yard Mesh or tulle fabric or 3-4 yards of spool tulle (found in bridal sections)
You can also use organza or embroidered edge fabrics
-1/8 yard or remnant for waistband. You may use 1-inch to 1 ¼” Foldover elastic in place of waistband fabric.
-Optional - 13” length of decorative edge elastic

Feel free to “break out” any and all frilly & feminine elements for this project, especially the performance pieces. Adding bows & sequined trims will always be a plus!
-Trims or Lace for embellishment (amount varies)
-Desired Closures (, snaps, buttons, etc)
-Matching Thread
-*Use ¼ inch seam allowance unless noted. If using stripes or plaid, more yardage will be needed to match pieces.
-Headband - Remnant
